IF a bank wants to lend 100rs it needs minimum 10rs of banks own capital as per RBI rule. Own capital means shareholder equity. Generally banks keep 15 to 20rs for every 100rs they lend. 15rs is 15% of 100rs and this 15% is called capital a... see more
